Joseph Harris Society Luncheon 2017
On Wednesday May 17, 2017 the foundation held the annual Joseph H. Harris Society luncheon at the hospital.
The society is made up of individuals who have made a commitment to leave a planned gift (bequest, life insurance policy, designation of RRSP or RIFF, annuity) to Michael Garron Hospital. Named after Joseph H. Harris, an East York MP who was instrumental in establishing our hospital, membership in the society is our way of thanking donors now for their vision and leadership for the future.
This year, the luncheon featured a presentation by hospital physician Dr. Pieter Jugovic, Director of Alternative Level of Care, Rehabilitation and Chronic Ventilated patients, Complex Continuing Care and Rehabilitation who spoke on dementia and the Memory Care Unit.
The luncheon represents one of several exclusive hospital and foundation events that society members annually receive invitations to.
