Gifts In Your Will
The most common planned gifts is a gift made in your Will – a bequest. Every year we receive bequest donations from people just like you. Often bequest donors are donors that sent small amount through the mail for many years but a larger donation was not possible during their lifetime. They are people who have been patients, grateful family members, volunteers, employees and nursing alumnae or physicians. A gift in their Will allowed them to make a major contribution to our hospital, a place that is very important to them.
A bequest donation is made by including the name of Michael Garron Hospital Foundation in your Will. The donation is received upon your death and may be a sum of money or percentage of your estate. It may also be a piece of property or other item of value that you own. The Michael Garron Hospital Foundation will issue a tax receipt to your estate upon receipt of the donation.

If you have not yet done so, please fill out the Will Confirmation Form and return it to us so that we possess a formal record of your donation or your intention to make a donation. You can be assured that we will keep the details of your plans in the strictest of confidence. Filling out the Will Confirmation Form does not constitute a legal directive in your Will; your gift will still need to be written into your Will to ensure that your wishes are carried out.
Should you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact Debbie Owen our Planned Giving Officer at (416) 469-6580 ext. 2161 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have already included us in your Will, please contact Debbie and let her know.
